FROM THE NURSE'S OFFICE - AUGUST 21, 2017
We are starting [to build] our emergency supplies [kit] for each classroom and the library. [...] A supply list will be coming soon. Most important is spare clothes for each student! This is required: [parents must be contacted.] [Snacks and water]: Wrapped crackers like Sky Flakes are perfect [for when we have "shelter in place" or lockdowns].
When we go into lockdown [no one] can leave, even for the bathroom, so nursing has developed the system for classroom teachers and the librarian to use.
The list will be prepared and the procedures will be shared with you. This was in response to actual conditions last year that worked.
Each student should provide their own water and wrapped snack in labelled bag with clothes.
